Throughout history, we could see the influence of different culture in the civilization, especially the Greeks. Everyone knows that the ancient land of Greece in once a very powerful and rich empire, and until now, the mark of their great past still remain standing. The ruins of the ancient temples which had been built to honor their gods and goddesses serves as a proof of their rich culture and undisputed civilization. In history, Greece remains as one of the most recognize civilizations and it will never be missing to discuss about their famous and popular mythology which has been the basis of hundreds of literary works.

Greek mythology is specifically the center of some famous works of art as well as of literature. Different identities in the Greek pantheon, both significant or not, popular or not, has been the subject of all those works. Even in theaters, many role plays were based from different types of story mentioned in the Greek mythology.

Well, their gods and goddesses are widely known for having different characteristics that may contradict with each others. We had seen them struggling against it’s either for the sake of their own belief. I could say, that the most popular of them all is Zeus, the king of the gods, who’s famous for being great as well as having a lot of concubine. His journey has been the basis of some famous movies and other works that we are all familiar now. Beside from him, the Olympian gods which are the governing gods and goddesses of the Greek pantheon is exceptionally popular too. And we could not erase from the list of this were the demi-gods, like the powerful Heracles, the strategic Perseus, the mighty Theseus, the clever Odysseus and the insurmountable Achilles. They are all demi-gods to whom their story had touched a millions of lives throughout the history.

And talking about movie, Henry Cavill return in the big screen to play role of a demi-god, it’s Theseus the son of Poseidon, the gods of the sea. But the film eventually made some changes that will deliver the entire storyline in different perspective. He will be joined by a powerhouse of great actors and actresses both veteran and new in the movie industry. Some of them were, Mickey Rourke who will play the role of the main antagonist while Luke Evans plays the role of Zeus. On the other hand, Kellan Lutz portrays Zeus brother, Poseidon and Isabel Lucas will play as Athena. Freida Pinto also having to give life to the character name Phaedra, a priestess who will join Theseus on his battle against the rise of the evil. Stephen Dorff will gonna have to play the role of Stavros, a theft to whom fight in the side of Theseus against the evil King Hyperion. And two young actor also take participation in this film, they are Corey Sevier as Apollo and Steve Byer as Heracles.

The plot of Immortals tackles on the timeline a years after the Titanomachy, wherein the titan Hyperion raised to power by disguising himself as the King of Crete. He ordered to kill peasants and many innocent individuals. And in this matter, it’s the gods who seems like so helpless for they can’t help the mankind. According to the law, gods can never participate on the battle of mankind and that leaves them all behind the pedestal and giving their trust to a person who will stand up and face the imminent danger for Hyperion will free the other titans. And it was Theseus whom will be guided by the gods will stand and fight the evil as the greater danger is approaching and raging anywhere. The entire story will revolve on the quest of both sides for the Epirus Bow; a legendary bow said that can destroy anything because of his unimaginable powers. And it was the reason why Hyperion crashed out the entire Greece in search of it, so that he can unleash the titans from the bottom of Mount Tartaros who had imprisoned there after the mythic was of Gods and Titans. And the ultimate battle continue wherein, Theseus must save mankind and defeat the evil king and his hordes.

Probably, everyone should watch Immortals (2011) online which will be release on November 11, 2011. Having been changed its name for two times, from Dawn of War and War of the Gods, now Immortals is all set and ready to capitulate the stigma of action and adventure plus fantasy on the said released date. Loosely based on the story in the Greek myth, which has been combined together from different stories, such as the titans, Minotaur, Theseus and many more. It will be release in Real 3D and Digital 3D on the joined force of Relativity Media and Universal Pictures. This film will be directed by a very popular and widely acclaimed director, Tarsim Singh. And beside from the above mention stars, many more is coming bring on the action and adventures to the next level. Plot:

Eons after the Gods won their mythic struggle against the Titans, a new evil threatens the land. Mad with power, King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) has declared war against humanity. Amassing a bloodthirsty army of soldiers disfigured by his own hand, Hyperion has scorched Greece in search of the legendary Epirus Bow, a weapon of unimaginable power forged in the heavens by Ares. Only he who possesses this bow can unleash the Titans, who have been imprisoned deep within the walls of Mount Tartaros since the dawn of time and thirst for revenge.
